The snow began coming down bigger and faster. Jeff gathered us around and showed us how to properly pack and tie down the sleds. He showed us how to put the harnesses on the dogs and explained the process of attaching them to the team leads. Behind us, the dogs are all barking and jumping and trying to run. It's like they know what is about to happen and they are all so excited that they can't be still. You can feel the adrenaline building.
