We get halfway out onto the lake and we notice that the ice is getting kind of slushy and the dogs are having a tough time pulling the sled through the water and slush. We have to wa lk/run beside the sled and help push the sled so the dogs can pull it through the slush. I lose my grip, fall down and my knee goes through the ice. Eek! I thought I was a goner!

I stood back up and tromped through the ice to catch up with the sled just as Courtney fell off and the sled turned over. We chase it a few yards and once again have to muster the strength to push it upright. As I reach under the sled and try to right it, I honestly don't believe that I will be able gain the strength to get it upright. But, the strength comes from somewhere and we managed to get the sled upright. Court and I jump on the runners. Panting and out of breath I look over at her and say "We're gonna F**ckin' die!"
