Once we settled into our "digs" we gathered in the main cabin for
dinner. Buckey and his wife Gail had prepared us all a wonderful
roasted chicken dinner with mashed potatoes. After dinner we all
gathered around the large woodburning stove. The log cabin walls
were adorned with a varying assortment of pelts that Buckey and
Gail had either trapped or shot over the years. Gail has over 100
miles of trap lines that she tends to daily.
One noticeable pelt was of a very large white wolf. Just to the
right of the fireplace was a stuffed bear.... cut off just behind
its shoulders so that it appeared to be lurching into the room about
to grab you with its two very large front paws.
