We unloaded their sled (which held the tent and stove), put up the tent, assembled the woodburning stove, melted some snow on the Coleman stove to drink and to mix with the dogs food.

While we got our sleeping bags unpacked and placed in the tent, Dunc and Jeff were busy cooking dinner for us and feeding the dogs. Jeff cooked wonderful steaks.

I forget what he served with the steaks that night, but whatever it was, it was wonderful. After the past couple of hours of shoveling snow with snow shoes and chopping wood with a small axe, we were all about too tired to chew.
