tired and grungy - photo by Dean

We ate lunch on the trail again and when we got back to camp, we cut down some more trees and Duncan, Dean, John and I took turns sawing it into 12" logs for the stove. Jeff cooked us Shrimp and Faux-crab Fettuccini Alfredo. It was scrumptious!

After dinner we all shared our Surprisas (Lithuanian for Surprises). Jeff and John and Kerry each brought some homemade liquors that were out of this world. Terri shared a tasty bottle of Chambourd, Dean liquored us up with shots of Absolut and I brought bottles of Swedish Schnapps.

We all laughed and drank and had a fantastic time that night up on our sleeping bags atop that block of ice. Then Dean surprised us once more when he brought out Cuban cigars! The guys were on one side of the tent smoking the cigars, and the girls were on the other threatening to pull a curtain between them and us. Then as I fell asleep that night, the last thing I remember was John playing his guitar and we were all singing "Bye, bye Miss American Pie"
